Supporting
People, Community & Environment
Who can become a volunteer?
You can! To volunteer
you don't need loads of qualifications or experience, all
you need is a couple of spare hours a week. People of all
ages and abilities are becoming involved in volunteering within
the Lisburn City Council area and you can join them.
You may be a young person
wishing to gain valuable experience to enhance your C.V. and
improve your employability, or an adult thinking about a career
change and wishing to experience other roles before making
a decision.
You could be a retired person
wishing to share your skills and experience with others and
learn new skills yourself, or you could have a favourite charity
you wish to support. In fact, you could be anyone who wishes
to meet new people, gain new skills and have fun.
People volunteer because
they get great satisfaction from the results of their efforts,
and can clearly see the difference they've been able to make
within their community.
Lisburn Volunteer Centre offers
a wide range of quality volunteering opportunities. Currently
these include working with:
- Children - Young
people - Older people
- People with physical/learning difficulties
-
- Advice

projects - Community projects
