"Wood" You Believe It?

Thanks to our "High Street" showrooms, VSL is probably now best known for the successful and growing social economy business offering quality, affordable refurbished household items to the public.

VSL was always actively involved in the recycling of goods such as paper and bottles, however thanks to initial grant funding through Lisburn Partnership in 2004, this developed into the restoration of "unwanted" furniture otherwise destined for landfill.

We collect, refurbish and resell these items at a fraction of high street prices, providing a valuable community resource particularly for those low incomes.

Why not call us on 028 9260 2479 or email info@vslisburn.org.uk to donate your unwanted items. We:

  • Collect free of charge

  • Restore/refurbish all donated goods

  • Steam clean and refurbish all suites

  • Re-upholster small items of furniture

  • Provide a training programme for the unemployed

Or come along and see for yourself our range of contemporary and traditional furniture including:

  • Dining Tables & Chairs

  • Bedroom & Occasional Furniture

  • Suites
And There's More ...

Not only does our joinery workshop transform "unwanted" items into quality, affordable restored furniture ready for our showroom, it also produces a range of handcrafted items including bird tables, window boxes and garden planters

Training For The Future

There's much more to the workshop however as it also offers a valuable training resource to those on placement. Our trainees include volunteers, individuals on the 'New Deal' job placement programme and those fulfilling Community Service Orders, all working alongside VSL staff and supervised by a fully qualified joiner.
